Regular Season Round 4: Rist Wedel - Rostock 58-70

Very significant was Rostock's (#4) 70-58 road victory against one of their biggest challengers SC Rist Wedel in North. It was a key game for the second position in North. The winners were led by American guard Matthew Hunter (196-90, college: Cent.Conn.St.) who scored that evening 14 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import David Rivers (201-93, college: Nebraska) supported him with 16 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Rostock's coach Sebastian Wild allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 12 points and 9 rebounds by American center Michael Bradley (208-92, college: Samford) did not help to save the game for SC Rist Wedel. Swingman Louis Olinde (205-98) added 12 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Rostock (3-1) moved-up to second place in North, which they share with Wolfenbuettel. SC Rist Wedel at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Rostock will play against SG Schwelmer Baskets (#4) at home in the next round. SC Rist Wedel will play against Hertener Loewen and hopes to get back on the winning track.
