Regular Season Round 4: Znicz Basket - Biofarm PZN 56-50

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Biofarm PZN's (2-2) road loss to top-ranked Znicz Basket (3-0) 50-56 on Sunday. Znicz Basket outrebounded Biofarm PZN 44-28 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Biofarm PZN was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of center Dawid Slupinski (206-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and forward Filip Put (201-93) who added 9 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side swingman Tomasz Smorawinski (196-87) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Patryk Stankowski (178-97) scored 6 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Znicz Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Biofarm PZN keeps the sixth position with two games lost. Znicz Basket will face Legia (#4) in Warszawa in the next round. Biofarm PZN will play at home against Spojnia and hope to win that game.
