Regular Season Round 7: Karlovy Vary - Zabiny Brno 63-56

Another exciting game was between eighth ranked Karlovy Vary and 5th ranked Zabiny where host Karlovy Vary (3-4) won against Zabiny (3-3) 63-56. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Zabiny. Karlovy Vary forced 25 Zabiny turnovers. Zabiny was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of center Julia Reisingerova (194-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Dana Kuslitova (182-90) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Swedish power forward Ulrica Holmqvist (186-93) answered with 16 points and Serbian forward Maja Vucurovic (187-91, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 6 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Zabiny. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Karlovy Vary maintains eighth place with 3-4 record. Zabiny at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Valosun Brno. Karlovy Vary will play against SBS Ostrava (#9) on the road in the next round. Zabiny will play against VS Praha and hopes to get back on the winning track.
