Regular Season Round 3: Usti n/Labem - Prostejov 71-93

There was a minor upset when BK Usti nad Labem (0-2) was crushed at home by Prostejov (1-2) 93-71 on Monday. Prostejov forced 19 BK Usti nad Labem turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Pavel Slezak (186-84) who scored 15 points. International forward Lukas Palyza (202-89) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Ladislav Pecka (197-91) who recorded 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Michal Carnecky (184-85) added 15 points and 6 assists respectively. Five Prostejov and four BK Usti nad Labem players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prostejov will meet at home BK Decin (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BK Usti nad Labem will play against BK Pardubice (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
