Regular Season Round 6: Norrort - KFUM Central 66-87

Date: October 21, 2015
Bottom-ranked Taby Basket is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to third ranked KFUM Central (4-1) 87-66. It looked good early as Taby Basket took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. Then KFUM Central had a 22-12 second period charge getting the lead and Taby Basket was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 66-87. They outrebounded Taby Basket 38-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was swingman Johan Westerlund (191-84) who scored 30 points. Kelly-hamilton Drougge chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was Marcus Friman who recorded 17 points and 7 rebounds and guard Jonas Ehlde (188-92) added 18 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KFUM Central keeps a position of league leader. Taby Basket at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. KFUM Central's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Stockholm KFUM Fryshuset.
