Regular Season Round 4: Usti n/Labem - BK Pardubice 83-87

Bottom-ranked BK Usti nad Labem (0-3) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 87-83 loss to third ranked BK Pardubice (3-1) in Usti nad Labem on Wednesday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Radek Necas (206-80) who helped to win the game recording 5 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Joseph Wall (200-89, college: Seattle Pacific) who added 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. BK Pardubice's coach Dusan Bohunicky allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American point guard Marcel Anderson (183-86, college: Harris-Stowe St.) responded with 20 points and 7 assists and forward Ladislav Pecka (197-91) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Four BK Usti nad Labem players scored in double figures. BK Pardubice have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Svitavy. Loser BK Usti nad Labem still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with MMCITE Brno. BK Pardubice will meet at home Prostejov (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BK Usti nad Labem will play against Basketbal Svitavy and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
