Very important is a home loss of first ranked Bball Olomouc (5-1) against eighth ranked MMCITE Brno 2 (1-4) on Friday night. Host Bball Olomouc was defeated by MMCITE Brno 2 in Olomouc 81-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Bball Olomouc. MMCITE Brno 2 shot 60.8 percent from the field. Swingman Marian Hrabovsky (198-94) notched 16 points to lead the effort and point guard Marek Licenik (192-96) supported him with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four MMCITE Brno 2 players scored in double figures. MMCITE Brno 2's coach Petr Kovas used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) by Moldovan forward Evgeni Scripcaru (195-83) did not help to save the game for Bball Olomouc. point guard Lubos Moravec (187-89) added 14 points and 8 assists. Despite that victory MMCITE Brno 2 went down to ninth position (Group B) due to points difference. Loser Bball Olomouc still keeps top place with one game lost. They share the position with Sokol H.K.. MMCITE Brno 2 will meet at home league's second-placed Sokol Hradec Kralove in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Bball Olomouc will play against SKB Zlin and hope to secure a win.
