Regular Season Round 3: Final Genclik - Mamak DSI 77-76

A very interesting game took place in Bursa. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of Mamak DSI (0-3) to Final Genclik (1-2) 77-76 on Friday evening. Mamak DSI was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 22-19 charge of Final Genclik, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Mamak DSI outrebounded Final Genclik 35-23 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for guard Mustafa Gucyetmez (188-80) who led the winners and scored 9 points and 11 assists. American guard Demarius Bolds (193-84, college: Missouri Western) accounted for 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Bolds is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American power forward Brandon Peterson (204-90, college: Arkansas St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import guard Jason Clark (188-90, college: Georgetown) added 23 points and 4 steals respectively for Mamak DSI in the defeat. Four Mamak DSI players scored in double figures. Final Genclik's next round opponent will be Gediz (#3) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mamak DSI will play against Adanaspor (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
