Very expected game in Thessaloniki where PAOK (0-3) was defeated by Aris (2-1) 84-72 on Saturday. The game without a history. Aris led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to PAOK's 20. They outrebounded PAOK 47-23 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. PAOK was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American forward Okaro White (206-92, college: Florida St., agency: Comsport) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Jerel McNeal (191-87, college: Marquette) helped adding 18 points. The best for the losing side was the former international swingman Kostas Vasiliadis (200-84) with 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American point guard Wiliam Hatcher (188-84, college: Miami, OH) scored 19 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Aris will face Lavrio (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. PAOK will play against Olympiacos and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
