Regular Season Round 7: P.Zvaigzdes - Siauliai 68-71

There was a minor upset in Pasvalys where 7th ranked P.Zvaigzdes (2-4) was edged by tenth ranked Siauliai (2-5) 71-68 on Saturday. P.Zvaigzdes trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 21-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 68-71 at the end of the game. It was a great evening for guard Paulius Dambrauskas (192-85) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 5 assists. The former international swingman Arturas Jomantas (200-85) helped adding 11 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Ramone Moore (193-89, college: Temple) responded with 25 points and Jokubas Gintvainis (193-94) scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Siauliai moved-up to ninth place. P.Zvaigzdes lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Siauliai will face higher ranked Lietkabelis (#6) in Panevezys in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
