Regular Season Round 4: Stal SW - Ksiezak Lowicz 56-58

There was no surprise in Stalowa Wola where 9th ranked Stal SW (1-3) was edged by top-ranked Ksiezak Lowicz (4-0) 58-56 on Sunday. Ksiezak Lowicz outrebounded Stal SW 37-22 including a 15-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. Stal SW was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Mariusz Wojcik (200-79) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and forward Maciej Cukierda (195-91) who added 14 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Sylwester Konieczny (180-91) responded with 20 points and point guard Rafal Partyka (184-79) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Stal SW's coach Robert Grzyb tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Ksiezak Lowicz have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group B leader, which they share with Gimbasket PRZM and LKS Lodz. Newly promoted Stal SW dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. Ksiezak Lowicz will face Tur Bielsk Pdl. (#9) in Bielsk Podlaski in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Stal SW will play on the road against Ostrow Mazow. in Ostrow Mazowiecki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
