Date: October 27, 2015
An exciting game was played in Bangkok. Thailand Hitech faced Singapore Singapore Slingers. Host Hitech (1-0) defeated guests from Singapore (0-1) 83-74. The hosts were already 15 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 22-16 Singapore Slingers' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 83-74 at the end of the game. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Christien Charles (216-81, college: Villanova) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks. Guard Tyler Lamb (196-91, college: Long Beach St.) contributed with 22 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Hitech players scored in double figures. Hitech's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Xavier Alexander (198-88, college: S.Nazarene) answered with 30 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and center Justin Howard (208-81, college: Mercer) added 20 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Singapore Slingers. Hitech will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Singapore Slingers will play on the road against Saigon Heat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
