A very close game took place in Brno (derby !!!) between MMCITE Brno 2 and Sokol Hradec Kralove. Ninth ranked MMCITE Brno 2 (2-4) got a very close home victory over much higher ranked Sokol Hradec Kralove (5-2). MMCITE Brno 2 managed to escape with a 1-point win 72-71 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Sokol Hradec Kralove. It was a great evening for swingman Marian Hrabovsky (198-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds. Swingman Michal Jedovnicky (194-95) helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side Slovakian center Peter Majerik (207-85) responded with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Tomas Kirsbaum (205-82) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. MMCITE Brno 2 moved-up to eighth place in Group B. Loser Sokol Hradec Kralove keeps the second position with two games lost. MMCITE Brno 2 will meet Havirov (#9) on the road in the next round. Sokol Hradec Kralove will play against the league's leader Bball Olomouc (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
