Regular Season Round 4: Dynamo - Infiz Basket 88-79

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Infiz Basket (1-1) in Kyiv on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by top-ranked Dynamo (2-0) 88-79. Infiz Basket trailed by 18 points after 3 quarters before a 28-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 79-88 at the end of the game. Dynamo dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Infiz Basket's 30 and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Infiz Basket 50-38 including 36 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Artur Drozdov (199-80, agency: Comsport) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 21 rebounds and international Maksym Pustozvonov (200-87) who added 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Dynamo players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Andriy Lebedintsev (184-91) responded with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and swingman Pavel Lebedintsev (196-96) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dynamo moved-up to fourth place. Infiz Basket at the other side keeps the sixth position with one game lost. Dynamo are looking forward to face Zaporizhya (#7) in Zaporozhye in the next round. Infiz Basket will play at home against SC Kryvbas and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
