No shocking result in a game in Varna where fourth ranked Cherno More (3-1) smashed 8th ranked Academik Plovdiv (1-3) 96-77 on Saturday. The game without a history. Cherno More led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Academik Plovdiv's 32 and made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Stanislav Tsonkov (192-91) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Stanislav Slaveykov (198-86) who added 16 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Cherno More players scored in double figures. Cherno More's coach Spas Natov used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Serbian power forward Bosko Jovovic (205-83) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds and guard Vasil Bachev (195-92, college: Cuesta JC) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Cherno More moved-up to second place, which they share with Spartak Pleven and Balkan. Academik Plovdiv lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Levski 2014 and Chernomorets. Cherno More will meet Beroe (#5) in the next round. Academik Plovdiv will play against the league's second-placed Spartak Pleven and hope to win that game.
