Regular Season Round 7: Slask 2 Wroclaw - Krosno 54-93

1Liga top team - Krosno (7-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Slask 2 Wroclaw (2-5) 93-54. Krosno made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Krosno outrebounded Slask 2 Wroclaw 44-23 including a 33-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Slask 2 Wroclaw was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Dariusz Oczkowicz (182-81) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points. Center Jakub Dluski (200-87) helped adding 9 points and 12 rebounds. Four Krosno players scored in double figures. At the losing side Maciej Krakowczyk (200-96) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Wojciech Jakubiak (188-96) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Krosno have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. Slask 2 Wroclaw lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. Krosno will face SKK Siedlce (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Slask 2 Wroclaw will play against the league's second-placed Znicz Basket in Pruszkow and hope to win that game.
