Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Mondragon (1-2) lost at home to top-ranked Ardoi (3-0) 71-67 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a good game for naturalized Ukrainian forward Anton Savitski (196-86) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Pope Urtasun (187-80) contributed with 21 points for the winners. point guard Imanol Ceciaga (186-90) replied with 16 points and 5 assists and forward Andoni Aranzabal (-91) added 19 points in the effort for Mondragon. Mondragon's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ardoi have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A-A with 3-0 record, which they share with Pielagos and Santurtzi. Loser Mondragon dropped to the eighth place with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
