Regular Season Round 9: Nymburk - Slovanka MB 71-58

ZBL top team - Basketball Nymburk (8-0) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat tenth ranked Basket Slovanka MB (2-7) 71-58. The former international guard Lenka Bartakova (175-91) stepped up and scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and American forward Jessica Kuster (188-92, college: Rice) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Basketball Nymburk's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was forward Tereza Vorlova (186-86) with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Slovakian swingman Kristyna Minarovicova (173-91) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Basketball Nymburk have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. Basket Slovanka MB lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with seven games lost. They share it with SBS Ostrava. Basketball Nymburk are looking forward to face Zabiny (#7) in Brno in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Basket Slovanka MB will play at home against Valosun Brno and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
