The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Utena as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Utena smashed bottom-ranked Siauliai-Univ. at home 92-46. The game without a history. Utena led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Siauliai-Univ.'s 26. They outrebounded Siauliai-Univ. 47-25 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Utena looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Siauliai-Univ.'s players. International center Kristina Alminaite (205-90) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Dalia Belickaite (175-96) contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Utena players scored in double figures. Forward Silvija Kuodiene (181-81) replied with 13 points and point guard Viktorija Juodeikyte (165-93) added 2 points and 6 assists in the effort for Siauliai-Univ.Utena (5-1) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Siauliai-Univ. at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
