Very important is a road loss of third ranked Kauhajoen Karhu (4-4) against ninth ranked Salon Vilpas (4-6) on Friday night. Visiting Kauhajoen Karhu was edged by Salon Vilpas in a tough game in Salo 94-95. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 24-20 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Salon Vilpas looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Doug Wiggins (185-88, college: Mountain St.) who scored 26 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Juho Nenonen (202-87) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. American swingman Cade Davis (197-88, college: Oklahoma, agency: Two Points) produced 25 points and the former international Antti Kanervo (192-89, agency: Blacktop Management) added 22 points respectively for the guests. Five Salon Vilpas and four Kauhajoen Karhu players scored in double figures. Salon Vilpas moved-up to eighth place. Loser Kauhajoen Karhu dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with BC Nokia and Helsinki Seagulls. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
