Regular Season Round 8: Pardubice - Opava B 92-97

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fourth ranked B&W Opava B (5-3) defeated on the road one of their biggest challengers Pardubice (4-3) 97-92 on Friday. B&W Opava B made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Center Miroslav Kvapil (198-93) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. Point guard Rostislav Dragoun (192-96) contributed with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Tomas Soukal (202-95) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Josef Potocek (196-96) added 27 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Pardubice. Four Pardubice players scored in double figures. B&W Opava B moved-up to third place in Group B. Newly promoted Pardubice dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. B&W Opava B will face Sokol Slapnice (#7) at home in the next round. Pardubice will play against MMCITE Brno 2 and hope to win that game.
