There was no surprise in Edirne where 11th ranked Pertevniyal (2-4) was defeated by seventh ranked Eskisehir Basket (4-2) 82-74 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American point guard Leemire Goldwire (184-85, college: Charlotte, agency: HMS) who scored 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Yigitcan Vardal (190-92, agency: 1x1 Sports) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Eskisehir Basket players scored in double figures. Eskisehir Basket's coach Metin Agirbasoglu used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Elijah Johnson (190-90, college: Kansas) who recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds and Berk Demir (203-95) added 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively. Eskisehir Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Socar Petkim. Pertevniyal lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with four games lost. Eskisehir Basket will face Meliksah (#10) in Kayseri in the next round.
