Regular Season Round 9: BK Decin - Usti n/Labem 90-73

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked BK Decin as it allowed them to take a leadership position. BK Decin defeated 9th ranked BK Usti nad Labem at home 90-73. The game without a history. BK Decin led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. BK Decin outrebounded BK Usti nad Labem 38-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. International guard Tomas Vyoral (190-92) stepped up and scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and the former international Jakub Houska (207-82) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Five BK Decin players scored in double figures. BK Decin's coach Pavel Budinsky used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Dana Kendrid (193-88, college: Morehouse) with 20 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Drew Barham (198-89, college: Gonzaga) scored 16 points. BK Decin (7-1) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. BK Usti nad Labem at the other side keeps the ninth place with five games lost. BK Usti nad Labem will play next round against BK Lions Hradec trying to get back on the winning streak. BK Decin will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked BK Pardubice on the road.
