Regular Season Round 9: BK Kolin - Prostejov 60-71

Quite upsetting was BK Kolin's (#5) home defeat in a game versus sixth ranked Prostejov 71-60. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 71-60. The best player for the winners was international forward Lukas Palyza (202-89) who scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Naturalized Slovakian Roman Marko (194-86) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. Four Prostejov players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Antoine Allen (185-89, college: S.Alabama) who recorded 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Michal Vocetka (198-89) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively. BK Kolin's coach Predrag Benacek rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Prostejov. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Svitavy. Loser BK Kolin dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Prostejov will meet at home USK Praha (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BK Kolin will play against MMCITE Brno (#10) and hope to secure a win.
