We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 11th ranked Andratx (1-5) was edged on the road by twelfth ranked Almeria (1-5) 70-67 on Sunday. Almeria outrebounded Andratx 54-29 including a 25-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Lillian Chukwueze (-93) had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Jamaican center Tajay Ashmeade (190-89, college: Seton Hall) chipped in 12 points and 25 rebounds during the contest. Almeria's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Serbian power forward Nina Djokovic (184-87, college: Bethel, TN) with 13 points and 9 rebounds and guard Maria Ylenia Manzanares (175-83, agency: Regeneracom Sports) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Almeria left bottom position moving up to eleventh place in Group B, which they share with defeated Andratx. It was Andratx's fifth loss in a row. Almeria will face Barcelona (#13) on the road in the next round.
