Regular Season Round 5: Stelmet ZG - Energa Czarni 91-68

TBL top team - Stelmet (5-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Energa Czarni (3-2) in Zielona Gora 91-68. The game was mostly controlled by Stelmet. Energa Czarni managed to win second period 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Stelmet looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international point guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) nailed 18 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Serbian power forward Dejan Borovnjak (207-86, agency: Beo Basket) accounted for 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four Stelmet players scored in double figures. American swingman Folarin Campbell (189-86, college: George Mason) came up with 12 points and 4 assists and the other American import point guard Jerel Blassingame (175-81, college: UNLV) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively for Energa Czarni in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Stelmet have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 5-0 record. Loser Energa Czarni keeps the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with Siarka. Stelmet will meet Stabill Jezioro (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Energa Czarni will play against Trefl and hope to secure a win.
