Regular Season Round 5: Zhejiang CB - Xinjiang FT 100-109

Not a big story in a game in Hangzhou where 10th ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (2-3) was defeated by leader Xinjiang Flying Tige (5-0) 109-100 on Friday. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 54-39 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Xinjiang Flying Tige made 8 blocks. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Andrew Goudelock (190-88, college: Charleston) stepped up and scored 30 points and 4 assists for the winners and American-Filipino power forward Andray Blatche (211-86) chipped in 27 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Willie Warren (193-89, college: Oklahoma) responded with 36 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Iranian forward Mohammad Samad Nikkhah Bahrami (199-83) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Five Xinjiang Flying Tige and four Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players scored in double figures. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Xinjiang Flying Tige. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Sichuan BW. Loser Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank dropped to the eleventh place with three games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige will face bottom-ranked Jiangsu Dragons (#20) in Nanjing in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play at home against Jiangsu TX (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
