There was a surprise result when tenth ranked VK VSB Ost. (2-7) outplayed higher ranked SKB Zlin (4-5) in Ostrava 93-63 on Friday. VK VSB Ost. dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to SKB Zlin's 34. VK VSB Ost. had a 29-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for forward Vojtech Mrkva (195) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Center Tadeas Janik (201) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. VK VSB Ost. maintains tenth place in Group B with 2-7 record. Loser SKB Zlin dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. VK VSB Ost. will face higher ranked Vysocina (#4) in Jihlava in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
