No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Valosun Brno (6-4) crushed at home 8th ranked Zabiny (4-6) 82-51 on Saturday. Valosun Brno dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Zabiny's 24. The former international center Edita Sujanova (190-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points. Eva Kopecka (171-96) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Four Valosun Brno players scored in double figures. Valosun Brno had such big advantage that coach felt comfortable to give the chance to play for 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Serbian forward Maja Vucurovic (187-91, agency: Josep and Nicolas) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and guard Petra Holesinska (175-97) added 9 points in the effort for Zabiny. Valosun Brno maintains fifth place with 6-4 record. Zabiny lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with six games lost. Valosun Brno will face SBS Ostrava (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Zabiny will play against BLK Praha and hope to win that game.
