There was no surprise when 11th ranked Saitama Broncos (1-11) were defeated on the road by ninth ranked Aomori Watts (6-6) 70-61 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 70-61. American guard Nile Murry (193-83, college: TCU) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. The other American import forward Jesse Perry (200-89, college: Arizona) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Janya Masumoto (183-88) produced 11 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Evan Harris (206-86, college: Harvard, agency: I.D.S. Law) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Saitama Broncos players scored in double figures. Aomori Watts moved-up to eighth place. Saitama Broncos lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Aomori Watts will face higher ranked Yokohama BC (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
