Regular Season Round 6: Rabotnicki - Kumanovo 64-82

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Rabotnicki (3-3) against sixth ranked Kumanovo 2009 (3-3) on Sunday night. Host Rabotnicki was defeated by Kumanovo 2009 in Skopje 82-64. It looked good early as Rabotnicki took a 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kumanovo 2009 had a 25-13 second period charge getting the lead and Rabotnicki was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 64-82. Kumanovo 2009 dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to Rabotnicki's 18. It was a good game for Serbian center Uros Lukovic (213-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. American forward Anthony Lee-Ingram (195-88, college: Brescia, KY, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 22 points for the winners. The former international point guard Dimitar Mirakovski (177-81, agency: Interperformances) replied with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and international forward Stojan Gjuroski (203-91, college: Louisiana Tech) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Rabotnicki. Kumanovo 2009 moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Rabotnicki. Kumanovo 2009 will play against Kozuv (#4) in Gevgelija in the next round. Rabotnicki's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Skopje to the arena Karpos Sokoli.
