There was no surprise when 12th ranked La Bruixa d'Or (2-4) was outleveled on the road by fifth ranked Real Madrid (5-1) 106-68 on Sunday. The game without a history. Real Madrid led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 64.4 percent from the field and made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Real Madrid had a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by La Bruixa d'Or's players. La Bruixa d'Or was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Mexican power forward Gustavo Ayon (207-85, college: San Jose St., agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). They dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. Real Madrid will face FIATC Joventut (#3) in Badalona in the next round, which may be the game of the day. La Bruixa d'Or will play at home against UCAM Murcia (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
