Regular Season Round 7: Templeogue - UL Eagles 109-84

Premier League top team - Templeogue (6-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked UL Eagles (3-4) in Dublin 109-84. Templeogue dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to UL Eagles' 40. They outrebounded UL Eagles 51-38 including 17 on the offensive glass. Templeogue players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by UL Eagles' players. It was a great evening for international forward Michael Bonaparte (196-82, college: Coll.of the Ozarks) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Conor Grace (210-82, college: Davidson) helped adding 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side Eoin Quigley responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Staats Battle (198-93, college: N.Carolina St.) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Five Templeogue and four UL Eagles players scored in double figures. Templeogue have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. UL Eagles at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Templeogue will play against UCD Marian (#4) in Dublin in the next round. UL Eagles will play at home against Killester and hope to get back on the winning track.
