Regular Season Round 7: Kumanovo - Kozuv 80-83

Prva Liga round 7 most important game was a victory of Kozuv over 5th ranked Kumanovo 2009 83-80 on Saturday night. The guests trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 27-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Brandon Penn (203-90, college: Rider, agency: HMS) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds. Bosnian-Serbian point guard Aleksej Nesovic (189-85, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Serbian center Uros Lukovic (213-89) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 7 blocks and the former international guard Aleksandar Kostoski (186-88, agency: Beo Basket) added 22 points and 4 assists in the effort for Kumanovo 2009. Four Kumanovo 2009 players scored in double figures. Kozuv have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Feni Industries. Kumanovo 2009 at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Rabotnicki. Kozuv is looking forward to face Rabotnicki (#6) in Skopje in the next round. Kumanovo 2009 will play at home against Feni Industries and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
