Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-9) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to seventeenth ranked JSA Bordeaux (3-7) 89-63. The game was mostly controlled by JSA Bordeaux. CFBB was better in third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. JSA Bordeaux forced 27 CFBB turnovers and outrebounded them 43-27 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. 28 personal fouls committed by CFBB helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Mike Myers (206-92, college: Md-E Shore) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds. The other American import forward Sammy Yeager (193-89, college: CS Fullerton) contributed with 22 points, 7 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Four JSA Bordeaux players scored in double figures. Swingman Sekou Omar Doumbouya (199-0) replied with 15 points and 5 steals and Bathiste Tchouaffe (194-98) added 13 points and 5 steals in the effort for CFBB. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JSA Bordeaux moved-up to fifteenth place. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. JSA Bordeaux's next round opponent will be higher ranked Mulhouse Basket (#7) on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. CFBB will play against La Rochelle (#11) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
