Regular Season Round 7: Karpos Sokoli - Rabotnicki 87-64

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Skopje: Karpos Sokoli (#2) and Rabotnicki (#4). Karpos Sokoli (6-1) crushed visiting Rabotnicki (3-4) by 23 points 87-64. The game without a history. Karpos Sokoli led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Rabotnicki's 30. It was a great evening for American forward Glen Dandridge (198-85, college: Lambuth) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 8 rebounds. Serbian Filip Sepa (198-90, agency: Beo Basket) helped adding 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Karpos Sokoli's coach Sinisa Matic felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international point guard Dimitar Mirakovski (177-81, agency: Interperformances) responded with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and international power forward Bojan Krstevski (206-89, agency: Interperformances) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Rabotnicki players scored in double figures. Karpos Sokoli keeps a position of league leader, which they share with MZT Skopje. Rabotnicki lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Kumanovo. Karpos Sokoli will play against bottom-ranked Best Gevgelija (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rabotnicki will play against Kozuv and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
