Regular Season Round 7: Ramat Hasharon - Hapoel K/S 76-81

Everything could happen in Ramat Hasharon at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba and 14th ranked Hasharon had identical 1-5 record. But Hasharon was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Kfar Saba 81-76 on Tuesday night. Hapoel Kfar Saba forced 19 Hasharon turnovers. Hasharon was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American guard Vernon Teel (193-87, college: Loyola Mary) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. His fellow American import center DeAngelo Riley (206-88, college: Azusa Pacific) helped adding 20 points. Four Hapoel Kfar Saba players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Roi Huber (184-97) responded with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Billy McShepard (208-87, college: Valdosta St., agency: Blacktop Management) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Hapoel Kfar Saba (2-5) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Hasharon lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with six games lost. Hapoel Kfar Saba will face higher ranked Ironi Ashkelon (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hasharon will play against Galil Gilboa (#4) in Rosh Pina and hope to win that game.
