Regular Season Round 9: Xinjiang FT - Liaoning H. 115-104

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Urumqi. Leader Xinjiang Flying Tigers faced 4th placed Liaoning Hunters. Host Xinjiang Flying Tige (9-0) defeated guests from Yingkou (6-3) 115-104. The game without a history. Xinjiang Flying Tige led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Xinjiang Flying Tige forced 19 Liaoning Hunters turnovers. 26 personal fouls committed by Liaoning Hunters helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American-Filipino power forward Andray Blatche (211-86) who scored 29 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). American guard Andrew Goudelock (190-88, college: Charleston) chipped in 26 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Priority Sports) who recorded 33 points (!!!), 6 assists and 4 steals and the other American import forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) added 20 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Four Xinjiang Flying Tige and five Liaoning Hunters players scored in double figures. Xinjiang Flying Tige have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Liaoning Hunters at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Shandong FB. Xinjiang Flying Tige are looking forward to face Jilin Tigers (#16) in Changchun in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Liaoning Hunters will play on the road against Shandong Bulls (#6) in Jinan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
