CBA top team - Xinjiang Flying Tige (10-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat sixteenth ranked Jilin Tigers (3-7) in Urumqi 127-114. The game was mostly controlled by Xinjiang Flying Tige. Jilin Tigers was better in fourth quarter 34-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Xinjiang Flying Tige shot 62.0 percent from the field. Xinjiang Flying Tige had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 63.6 percentage. Xinjiang Flying Tige players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American guard Andrew Goudelock (190-88, college: Charleston) scored 39 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international center Qi Zhou (217-96) chipped in 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. Xinjiang Flying Tige's coach Qiuping Liu allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American swingman Marcus Williams (200-86, college: Arizona, agency: Interperformances) responded with 31 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and American-Puerto Rican center Peter Ramos (222-85) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Xinjiang Flying Tige and five Jilin Tigers players scored in double figures. Xinjiang Flying Tige have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-0 record. Jilin Tigers lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Jiangsu D. and Bayi R.. Xinjiang Flying Tige will play against Shandong Bulls (#9) in Jinan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jilin Tigers will play on the road against Qingdao Eagles (#18) and hope to get back on the winning track.
