Regular Season Round 10: DongGuan L. - Jiangsu TX 126-104

Rather expected game when 10th ranked Jiangsu TX (5-5) was smashed on the road by seventh ranked DongGuan Leopards (6-3) 126-104 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by DongGuan Leopards. Jiangsu TX was better in fourth quarter 27-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. DongGuan Leopards made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when DongGuan Leopards made 8 blocks. It was a very good performance for American point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 8 rebounds. The other American import Dominic McGuire (206-85, college: Fresno St., agency: Priority Sports) contributed with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Five DongGuan Leopards players scored in double figures. DongGuan Leopards' coach Qun Li felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Von Wafer (196-85, college: Florida St.) replied with 38 points (!!!) and 6 assists and Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) added 24 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Jiangsu TX. DongGuan Leopards moved-up to sixth place. Loser Jiangsu TX keeps the tenth position with five games lost. DongGuan Leopards will face higher ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#4) in Hangzhou in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Jiangsu TX will play on the road against Shanghai Sharks (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
