Turk Telekom (#15) forced the game against Royal Hali (#8) into an overtime, but lost by three points 99-102. The game took place in Ankara. But the guests from Gaziantep were better at the end. The guests were ahead by 3 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 23-20 run, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 18-15. Royal Hali made 24-of-26 charity shots (92.3 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Turk Telekom helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by American-Bulgarian guard Earl Calloway (191-83, college: Indiana) who scored that evening 20 points and 9 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and American-Cypriot power forward Anthony King (206-85, college: Miami, FL, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Royal Hali players scored in double figures. Even 35 points (!!!) (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) by American point guard J'Covan Brown (188-90, college: Texas) did not help to save the game for Turk Telekom. His fellow American import guard Michael Jenkins (193-86, college: Winthrop) added 19 points and 4 assists for the hosts. Turk Telekom's coach Ercument Sunter tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Royal Hali (5-4) moved-up to sixth place. Turk Telekom lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with six games lost. Royal Hali will have a break next round. Turk Telekom will play on the road against Fenerbahce Ulker (#5) in Istanbul and hope to win that game.
