Regular Season Round 10: JAC Sants - Sant Nicolau 81-76

No shocking result in a game in Barcelona where third ranked JAC Sants (6-4) won against 8th ranked Sant Nicolau (4-6) 81-76 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Sant Nicolau won third quarter 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when JAC Sants won last quarter 25-21. Point guard Adria Vazquez (183-89) scored 21 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Marc Pages (178-95) chipped in 17 points during the contest. At the losing side center Larry Ewulu (197-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and forward Marc Sobrepera (201-86) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. JAC Sants maintains third position in Group C-A with 6-4 record having four points less than leader L'Hospitalet. Loser Sant Nicolau dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. JAC Sants will face Salt (#5) on the road in the next round. Sant Nicolau will play against Arenys and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
