Important game to mention about took place in Holon. Tenth ranked Hapoel Holon (3-5) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 8th ranked Hapoel Eilat (3-6) 81-78 in the game for the eighth place. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hapoel Eilat won third quarter 21-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Hapoel Holon won last quarter 21-20. Hapoel Holon outrebounded Hapoel Eilat 44-27 including 16 on the offensive glass. Hapoel Eilat was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward Lucas de Souza (203-90, college: Oregon, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Will Clyburn (201-90, college: Iowa St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American Khalif Wyatt (193-91, college: Temple) answered with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Nigerian power forward Alade Aminu (210-87, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Hapoel Eilat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hapoel Holon moved-up to eighth place. Loser Hapoel Eilat dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. Hapoel Holon will face Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#9) on the road in the next round. Hapoel Eilat will play against Maccabi T-A in Tel-Aviv and hope to win that game.
