Regular Season Round 11: Zlin - MMCITE Brno 2 86-61

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked MMCITE Brno 2 (4-6) was rolled over on the road by sixth ranked SKB Zlin (5-6) 86-61 on Sunday. SKB Zlin made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. SKB Zlin outrebounded MMCITE Brno 2 39-22 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. MMCITE Brno 2 was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard Radek Pumprla (185-95) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds. Power forward Michal Susak (203-77) helped adding 20 points and 11 rebounds. Four SKB Zlin players scored in double figures. Swingman Michal Jedovnicky (194-95) responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds and forward Martin Muller (194-94) scored 6 points and 6 rebounds. MMCITE Brno 2's coach Petr Kovas gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. SKB Zlin moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with Vysocina. Loser MMCITE Brno 2 dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. SKB Zlin will face league's leader Sokol Hradec Kralove on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MMCITE Brno 2 will play against Vysocina (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
