Regular Season Round 4: Al Sadd - Al Khor 97-85

The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Al Sadd as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Al Sadd defeated 5th ranked Al Khor in Doha 97-85. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al Khor. The game was mostly controlled by Al Sadd. Al Khor managed to win fourth quarter 25-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Al Sadd shot 61.9 percent from the field. Al Sadd had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Al Khor's players. Ivorian-French center Mohamed Kone (211-81, college: Valparaiso) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. International swingman Saad Abdulrahman Ali (193-85) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Al Sadd players scored in double figures. Al Sadd's coach Zoran Kreckovic used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
