Regular Season Round 7: Hitech - Mono Vampire 77-65

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Hitech as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Hitech defeated 6th ranked Mono Vampire in Bangkok 77-65. Mono Vampire trailed 32-29 at halftime, rallying from a 24-9 deficit at the end of first quarter to trim the gap. Hitech forced 19 Mono Vampire turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Tyler Lamb (196-91, college: Long Beach St.) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 4 steals. His fellow American import power forward Christien Charles (216-81, college: Villanova) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Swingman Ratdech Kruatiwa (191-85) answered with 17 points and guard Darongpan Apiromvilaichai (185-85) added 9 points and 7 assists in the effort for Mono Vampire. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Defending Thailand champion Mono Vampire stay at the bottom place with six games lost. Mono Vampire will play next round against strong KL Dragons trying to get back on the winning streak. Hitech will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Saigon Heat on the road.
