Regular Season Round 12: Loko Plzen - Sokol Pisek 68-88

We should not miss the game where seventh ranked Sokol Pisek (6-6) against 4th ranked BK Loko Plzen (7-5) where guest Sokol Pisek rolled over their opponents by twenty points 88-68. Sokol Pisek shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 57.7 percentage. 25 personal fouls committed by BK Loko Plzen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by swingman Petr Slechta (192-95) who scored that evening 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and guard Zdenek Kostohryz (191-89) supported him with 18 points. Even 13 points and 6 rebounds by forward Jaroslav Lejsek (198-90) did not help to save the game for BK Loko Plzen. Power forward Jaroslav Kovanda (203-82) added 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four BK Loko Plzen players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Sokol Pisek maintains seventh position in Group A with 6-6 record. BK Loko Plzen at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Sokol Pisek's next round opponent will be higher ranked Sparta Praha (#5) at home and it may be quite challenging game. BK Loko Plzen will play against the league's leader Sokol Prazky where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
