Regular Season Round 13: St Vallier - Bordeaux 104-100

Very expected game when 15th ranked JSA Bordeaux (4-9) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Saint Vallier (7-5) 104-100 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 31-14 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Saint Vallier looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. JSA Bordeaux was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Jonathan Hoyaux (196-88) stepped up and scored 28 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners and naturalized Guyanese forward Gide Noel (198-93) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Mike Myers (206-92, college: Md-E Shore) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import Kevin Rogers (206-86, college: Baylor) scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Five Saint Vallier and four JSA Bordeaux players scored in double figures. Saint Vallier moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser JSA Bordeaux dropped to the sixteenth position with nine games lost. Saint Vallier will face bottom-ranked CFBB (#18) in Paris in the next round which should be an easy win for them. JSA Bordeaux will play at home against Caen and hope to win that game.
