Regular Season Round 13: Aalstar - Liege 97-70

Date: December 5, 2015
Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Okapi Aalstar (5-4) smashed at home 8th ranked Liege Basket (3-4) 97-70. The game without a history. Okapi Aalstar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Samoan-American power forward John Tofi (203-84, college: UTEP, agency: Pensack Sports) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side and American forward Abe Lodwick (201-88, college: Washington St.) accounted for 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Okapi Aalstar players scored in double figures. Okapi Aalstar's coach Brad Dean felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Killian Larson (206-91, college: Grand Canyon) came up with 16 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Dominique Morrison (198-89, college: ORU) added 17 points and 5 steals respectively for Liege Basket in the defeat. Okapi Aalstar moved-up to third place, which they share with Verviers-Pep. Liege Basket at the other side dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Okapi Aalstar will play against Limburg United (#5) on the road in the next round. Liege Basket will play against VOO Verviers-Pepinster (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
