Regular Season Round 13: Berck - Challans 91-58

An interesting game took place in Berck where higher ranked Vendee Challans (6-6) was upset on the court of fourteenth ranked Berck (5-7) 91-58 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Berck. Vendee Challans was better in fourth quarter 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Vendee Challans 43-29 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Berck looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Vendee Challans' players. American power forward Ron Anderson (205-89, college: S.Florida, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 20 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners and swingman Jonathan Leria (198-90) chipped in 17 points and 12 rebounds. Five Berck players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Will Felder (201-91, college: Miami, OH, agency: Court Side) responded with 11 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Xavier Gaillou (192-89) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Berck moved-up to thirteenth place. Vendee Challans lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. Berck will face higher ranked SAP Vaucluse (#11) in Sorgues in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
